Dear Members of KICS,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2025 KICS Fall Conference, which will be held in Gyeongju, the ancient capital that will once again draw global attention as the host city of the 2025 APEC Summit.

Under the theme “Reflecting on KICS 2025, Connecting to the Future,” this year’s conference aims to look back on the academic achievements and diverse activities of KICS over the past year, while presenting rich and inspiring programs that will guide us toward a brighter future.

The Distinguished Keynote Lectures will feature Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas from the University of Luxembourg and Prof. Jinho Choi from the University of Adelaide, who will deliver insightful talks on the latest research trends and future prospects of 6G communications. In addition, the HAPS (High Altitude Platform Station) Special Session will host world-renowned experts including Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini from KAUST, Dr. Paul Stevens from Voltitude, and Dr. Yoshihisa Kishiyama from Space Compass, who will discuss innovative directions for non-terrestrial network technologies.

From the industry, speakers from Samsung Electronics and Qualcomm will share key insights and perspectives on emerging industrial challenges and strategies. The conference will also include Special Talks by leading researchers in Physical-AI and AI-RAN, as well as the unique program “Revisiting KICS 2025 Distinguished Lectures,” which brings back ten selected lectures from last year’s most successful KICS workshops for on-site re-engagement.

Furthermore, a wide range of special sessions will be offered, including those organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Defense Communications Division, the 6G Forum, TTA, regional branches and societies, and research centers. In addition, the Undergraduate Capstone Design Competition and the Undergraduate Paper Contest will provide meaningful opportunities for students to showcase their creativity and research achievements.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all members of the organizing committee and the KICS Secretariat for their dedication and hard work in preparing this conference. We hope that this event will serve as a vibrant forum for communication, collaboration, and inspiration among all participants in the beautiful autumn season of Gyeongju, a city rich in history and culture.
